Luckily, they are controlled spaces in which sustainable and responsible tourism predominates. Some of them are much more protected than others by laws, but it is up to us to continue caring for and conserving them, as they are places of great biodiversity, with unique ecosystems and, therefore, vital for the future well-being of the planet.

What are Natural Parks and National Parks
According to the IUCN (International Union for the Conservation of Nature) , a Natural Park is part of the protected natural areas and can be defined as:
Surface of soil or water that forms an ecological unit of relevance for its conservation, either at the level of Autonomy and the State or only in one of them, totally independent of whether there is legal protection or not.
Therefore, they are natural places with special biological or landscape characteristics .
Not all Natural Parks are National Parks, but the other way around. The Nationals meet certain conditions that indicate that they have a natural value for which they deserve to be preserved at the national management level, that is, by the Government and in some cases at the UNESCO level. On the other hand, the Natural Parks are both the National Parks and others that are protected natural areas but only at the regional or local level. However, to clearly mark the difference between these two types of parks, we can say that the Naturals do not have a common body that manages them at the national level, each one is managed locally and the Nationals, although they are natural sites, are managed by a common national body.
In these natural reserves , work is being done to conserve the biodiversity of these areas, some of which are part of the World Heritage Site.
Doñana National and Natural Park, in Andalusia
It is a protected natural area in Andalusia , in southern Spain. It is a large area with such a variety of ecosystems and landscapes that it has become one of the most special places, as there are marshes, coasts, forests, plains and dunes. It is home to a large number of species of fauna and flora, and is even home to endangered species , such as the Iberian lynx . In its entirety it occupies a space of 108,086 hectares. It was declared a Natural and National Park in 1969.
In addition, it is one of the protected Natural Parks of Spain but it is even more special, because in this case it is not only protected by Spanish laws, but the Doñana Park is a World Heritage Site , granted by UNESCO since 1994.
Teide National Park, a natural park in the Canary Islands
The Teide National Park is considered one of the 10 most beautiful landscapes in Spain . In this protected area is the Teide volcano, hence the park receives this name. The Teide Park in Tenerife , the Canary Islands, is considered the most visited Natural and National Park , with an average of 4,079,823 visitors per year.
It is the largest National Park, since its extension is just under 19,000 hectares, and also the oldest of the Canary Islands. In addition, although it is a volcanic area, it is a place of great biological wealth, that is, it is a place where there is incredible biodiversity. For this reason, the Teide National and Natural Park was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2007 .
Natural and National Park of the Picos de Europa, in the north of Spain
The Picos de Europa Park is a Biosphere Reserve , this being approved by UNESCO in 2003, located in the north of Spain and has an area of 67,455 hectares. Specifically, it is in the Cantabrian mountain range, so it is between the provinces of Asturias, Cantabria and León.
It is the third most visited Natural Park in Spain , with an annual average of 1,774,955 visitors, and there are routes and trails marked to visit it in a respectful way. It contains a great variety of flora and fauna, since in this same park there are different types of forests.
