What is the 2030 agenda for sustainable development

The 2030 Agenda is a program promoted by the UN that is part of the United Nations Development Program, and that brings together a series of projects and goals that aim to favor both people and the planet itself through 17 Sustainable Development Goals . These objectives are focused on guaranteeing the social and economic progress of the countries, at the same time that this progress must be made in a sustainable way throughout the world, which will allow the strengthening of universal peace, that is, throughout the planet and in all countries.

The 2030 Agenda is an evolution of the Millennium Development Goals , a similar agenda but that had the date set in the past year 2015. The 2030 Agenda is addressed to all the nations that are part of the UN, although, above all, to those that have signed it and that have committed to carrying out concrete actions aimed at achieving the objectives and goals that are detailed in it. . Likewise, it must also be taken into account that the 2030 Agenda is intended to be promoted by three specific layers present in any country :

• On the one hand, there would be the State itself or the Public Administration , which plays a fundamental role in the work of carrying out the necessary actions for the development of the 2030 Agenda, since it is in charge of establishing the basic structures common to all the social agents that participate in the Sustainable Development Goals.
• On the other hand, there would be private companies . These social agents are fundamental in any advanced society and, in addition, they play a very important role in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda, since their actions have a great weight in the objectives and goals set both at the national level and, in many cases, internationally. .
• Finally, the last social agent to which the 2030 Agenda would be directed would be civil society itself , that is, to each of the people at the individual level , since their daily actions are also fundamental when it comes to carrying out the objectives and goals set for the year 2030 that will make the world a much safer, prosperous, sustainable and dignified place for all
