Efficient and ecological turbo kitchen

With the turbo cooker, you save wood, money and time . But, even more important, it emits almost no smoke, so the cooking process is much safer. Food, on the other hand, cooks faster and in a more homogeneous way. The turbo kitchen is an invention that comes from El Salvador.

The ecological invention works with pieces of firewood of about four inches. It is made of stainless steel and the cylinder-shaped structure contains a disc with ten air nozzles and an internal fan that works with electrical energy. A steel plate that regulates the air inlet or outlet. It has a pressurized combustion system, where the heat that is produced is administered at a single point.

One of the objectives of this invention, as we say, Salvadoran, is to reduce the felling of trees in that country. But, by not emitting toxic gases, it also contributes to a healthier environment. It emits heat, carbon dioxide and water. Its creator calls it “the breathing machine”, since it emits the same components as humans and that can be re-integrated into the biological cycle of nature: the three elements can be absorbed by plants and transformed into oxygen.

The inventor’s name is René Núñez and he hopes that the turbo kitchen will be exported to other countries, such as Mexico, Argentina or the United States. A shoebox full of firewood is enough to cook what an average family of four needs for a week.

The project has attracted the attention of the United Nations, which will collaborate to deliver 100,000 units to poor families in El Salvador.
